Higher Secondary Courses

HS Arts:

Compulsory subjects

• English
• A modern Indian language (Assamese/ Bengali/ Hindi/ Nepali) or Alternative English
• Environmental Education (for HS 1^st year only)

Elective subjects:

A student must select three elective subjects from the following available subjects:

• Economics, Political Science /Mathematics, Education/Mathematics, Logic and Philosophy/ Computer Science and Application,

Geography/ History/Advance Language (Adv. Assamese, Adv. Bengali, Adv. Hindi)

• A student may select a fourth elective from the above elective subjects  which is not mandatory

HS Science:

Compulsory subjects

• English
• A modern Indian language (Assamese/ Bengali/ Hindi/ Nepali) or Alternative English
• Environmental Education (for HS 1^st year only)

Elective subjects:

• 1^st elective subject :  Physics
• 2^nd elective subject: Chemistry
• 3^rd elective subject: A student must select any one the following available subjects:
• Mathematics, Biology/Computer Science & Application
• A student may select fourth elective from the above elective subjects which is not mandatory.

HS Commerce:

 

Compulsory subjects

• English
• A modern Indian language (Assamese/ Bengali/ Hindi/ Nepali) or Alternative English
• Environmental Education (for HS 1^st year only)

Elective subjects:

• 1^st elective subject :  Accountancy
• 2^nd elective subject: Business Studies
• 3^rd elective subject: A student must select any one the following available subjects:
• Economics, Commercial Mathematics and Statistics/ Mathematics

 

• A student may select fourth elective from the above elective subjects which is not mandatory.
